Our Policies

By booking with Larhz Auto you are agreeing to, but not limited to, the following policies, limitations and disclaimers. So please read all of our policies carefully. Contact us if you have any questions - here

Booking, Cancellations & Rescheduling

All services must be booked in advance with a staff member directly.

Life happens - we get it. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do it at least 24 hours in advance. Late changes (within 24 hours) will incur a small fee, depending on how far we’ve prepped or travelled. Give us a heads-up and we’ll always do our best to work with you.

Travel Fees

We’re mobile and cover a big stretch - from North Brisbane to the Gold Coast and Ipswich. North Brisbane suburbs, and Gold Coast suburbs attract a travel fee. We’ll always confirm this when you book - so no sneaky extras. Please keep in mind travel fees are non-refundable in the event of no-shows, or cancellations when our team have already travelled to the location.

Payment

Travel fees are due on booking, you have the option to pay the whole amount when booking or during the inspection. We accept card & afterpay (online when booking only), cash, or bank transfer/PayId/OSKO. Inspection reports will not be emailed or shared until payment is made and completed.

No Show's

If we arrive and no one’s there or answering the phone, we will wait 15 mins only. A call-out fee will apply, and you'll need to rebook. We’re flexible if you tell us ahead of time, but we also value our time (and yours).

Pre-Purchase Inspection Limitations/Disclaimer

All customers must read and accept. By booking you acknowledge you have read and accept.

- We cannot evaluate the condition of some elements that require disassembly of the engine (including but not limited to - timing chain/belt, and anything inside of the engine itself, inside of drum brakes etc. - get in touch if you have any specific questions about this).

- The inspection is not a warranty or guarantee of the vehicle’s past, current or future performance. Any recommendations made by Larhz Auto are simply recommendations dependent on the visual condition of the vehicle during inspection. Please see a mechanic/workshop to investigate further all recommendations.

- Larhz Auto is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from reliance on this inspection or its findings.

- We do not provide legal, financial, or insurance advice. Any pricing recommendations or PPSR results are shared for informational purposes only and are based on public information only. All information obtained from public records or third-party sources is provided 'as is' and Larhz Auto does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness.

- All findings are only to be shared with Larhz Auto paying customers and are not to be distributed or shared externally; Larhz Auto disclaims any liability for reliance by third parties. This report is for informational purposes only and is not valid past the date of the inspection.

- This report is not a recommendation whether one should or should not purchase the vehicle that is being inspected. We cannot and will not give recommendations to the longevity of a vehicle, and cannot and will not give recommendations to persuade one to buy or not to buy a vehicle.

- The findings of this inspection should not be interpreted as advice on pricing or negotiation; all such decisions are the sole responsibility of the customer.

- Any decisions made by Larhz Auto customers are the customers sole decision and are not a refection on Larhz Auto. Larhz Auto does not guarantee or provide any warranty nor safety certificates. Larhz Auto does not conduct mechanical repairs. It is the buyer/sellers responsibility to ensure the vehicle has a reputable roadworthy/safety certificate. Larhz Auto accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or costs incurred as a result of reliance on this inspection or any of its findings.

- The inspection is strictly visual and non-invasive; Larhz Auto does not remove panels, carpets, or other components that would require disassembly. Larhz Auto cannot be held responsible for any pre-existing damage or defects that are not visually apparent during the inspection, including any issues that may have been purposefully concealed by the seller.

- Any test drives conducted are short, limited and cannot replicate all conditions. Hence, we cannot guarantee the future performance or reliability of the vehicle under all conditions. The inspection report reflects the condition of the vehicle only at the time of the inspection and may not represent its condition at a later date.

- Larhz Auto cannot be held responsible for any sudden, unexpected, or spontaneous mechanical or electrical failures, or any other issues that may arise with the vehicle after the inspection.

- We strongly recommend that customers seek independent third-party advice, including from qualified mechanics, financial advisors, or other relevant professionals, before making any decisions regarding the purchase of a vehicle.

Damages Disclaimer

We treat every car like it’s our own. While we’re careful and professional with everything we do, Larhz Auto is not responsible for pre-existing damage, worn / aged components, or issues that arise during or after the service - especially in vehicles with undiagnosed faults. If something looks risky, we’ll flag it with you first. We don’t take shortcuts, and we don’t take chances. Larhz Auto is not responsible for anything that happens during the inspection, and the customer understands the risks involved.

Weather/Act of God

We’re tough, but we’re not battling a thunderstorm with a scan tool. For safety reasons, some services may be delayed or rescheduled if the weather turns wild if there is not a safe place to inspect the vehicle (undercover, garage etc.). We’ll always reach out if the forecast looks dodgy and make a new time that works for you. Shade, garages, or carports are always a bonus if you’ve got them!

Sometimes Mother Nature or the universe has other plans - floods, fires, freak storms, plagues of frogs (you get it). If something totally out of our control stops us from getting to your booking or completing a service safely, we’ll let you know ASAP and reschedule at the next best time. No stress, no fees - we just don’t argue with lightning.

Test Drives

If a test drive is part of your pre-purchase inspection, it’ll only happen if the vehicle is registered, safe to drive, and we have permission from the seller. If we can’t take it for a spin, we’ll still inspect everything else and let you know what we couldn’t check. We’re not here to break rules - we’re here to help you dodge a dud. When test driving a vehicle to owner/customer/seller/buyer understands the risks involved and understands any damages/accidents are a risk. Larhz Auto will not be help liable for any damages etc. If the seller doesn't understand these risks and doesn't agree, Larhz Auto will not be able to test drive the vehicle.
